We's having weather

Postby Father Wrath » Tue Jan 29, 2008 7:26 pm

I believe I heard some hail a minute ago, or maybe the rain was just hitting the windows with such ferocity that is sounded like hail. Tornado warning for northern Marion county just a few minutes ago, and we're supposed get down to 12º tonight, with some snow. Wow.

Yes we had weather here to the west of you also. High windws and something, oddly I couldn't even hear my neighbors windchimes over the racket the wind and such was making itself.

Kim, Monty, and I were at The Alley, and had a nice view of the sideways stuff.

It was just completely nuts out there tonight. Left the house about 6:30, noted that it was raining but almost mild out. Experienced the sideways rain and hail, just got in about ten minutes ago and the roads/parking lots are freezing over and it's snowing, at 22 degrees. And that wind has a ferocious bite. Crazy.

Every once in a while I hear God throw a baseball at the side of my house. I go out and shake my fist and God hides behind a tree He just blew over. But I know it was him.

Silly me.

With the crazy radar and the wind warnings, I thought the wind would be ahead of the front. Instead, it's been howling and blowing like mad for the last few hours. It's 10:30 now and it's not let up much.

I was out in the sideways sleet earlier. This is a rare night indeed.

Is it time to go pillage the grocery store yet? I have this odd urge to go buy 14 gallons of milk (and I don't even drink milk).

Sounds like it's gonna be a nasty weekend, eh?

Just hurry and get to Kroger and purchase mass quantities of milk.

We don't know why, but just do it!

And some bread too. Hoard all you can.
